Are you distracted?

Being married, having children, working, and serving in the community can often create countless demands on our time. We always seem to want and need more time. It’s the one resource we’ll never get back. Even with all the good things we are doing, we must examine who or what has our attention right now. Don’t let doing good things distract you from getting what you need to truly live your most abundant life in and on purpose!

His Word offers life, hope, health, freedom, transformation, strength, refuge, wisdom, peace, joy, comfort, and LOVE like no other! Who doesn't want those things? We study everything else and take time to learn new things every day. We find time for socializing, television, and social media but we are quick to take our eyes off of reading God’s Word. We think it can wait.

We are wrong. It is THE most important daily task and a definite game changer for us, our children, and our next eternal life! What are you paying attention to? Who's distracting you? What's your excuse today? Go get your life. You're worth it.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.

Colossians 2:8 (AMP) See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth—the teachings of] Christ.

Luke 21:34 (AMPC) But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day (Jesus' return) come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose.
